Artist Residencies at Oxbow

Oxbow offers residencies to visual and performing artists to experiment and try out new ideas, without the pressure to develop work that might be commercially successful.  Artist receive a stipend as well as design and fabrication support.  We've hosted artists who have tried out new art forms or media, and who have been able to try ideas on a scale larger than the limitations of their own studios.  Some artists like to have public events and others prefer to simply use the space and time to develop their next body of work.  We also make the space available for rentals on a pay-what-you-can model to fill the gap for exhibiting and performing artists without a space to show and share their work.

Participating artists have included Dawn Cerny, Kimbery Trowbridge, Emily Gherard, Lauren Boilini and Henry Cowdery, Jeffry Mitchell, Ginny Ruffner, Adrain Chesser and Timothy White Eagle, Paige Barnes, Matthew Offenbacher, Chanhee Choi, Rafael Soldi, Victory Haven and Heather KravasGail Grinnell and Samuel Wildman, Klara Glosova, James Borchers/Jérémy Jolley, Katy Stone, Dylan Neuwirth, Mary Ann Peters, Chris McMullen, Saul Becker, Michelle de la Vega, Barbara Robertson, Dan Webb, and Alex Lockwood.
